From the 19th of July to the 1st of August 2000, I went on a mission trip to Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was, needless to say, a very blessed experience, and I had an absolutely wonderful time sharing the love of God, making new friends, and touring a beautiful country!
While there, the group I travelled with (JAMA and the wonderful people of San Diego Calvary Church) hosted a retreat for three days. It was in the beautiful area of the Chumbulak Mountains, and we were able to share the gospel with many wonderful people!

While travelling through the mountains we had unexpectedly run into a family having a picnic, and the kids were so amazingly adorable that we had to play with them:
