On the 15th of November, 2000, a bunch of us had the pleasure
of watching the Lion King production at Pantages Theatre.
Sadly I was only able to acquire these two pictures because
they would not allow cameras inside...

Since we're on the topic of the cameras...I'd like to take
this time to reiterate a conversation that went on inside the theatre between
Ed, who was trying to sneak in a camera, and the Camera Confiscating Lady (CCL):
CCL: Excuse me sir, but I need you to check in your camera
at the front.
Ed: ...Camera?...
CCL: Yes sir. There are no cameras allowed in the
theatre.
Ed: ...but I don't have a camera!
CCL: Yes you do. I can see the camera strap right
there.
(Ed looks down at his right jacket pocket, and sees the strap
indeed hanging out. Now at this point, most people would probably give up
the camera...but not good ol' Ed!)
Ed: That's not a camera! That's...my wallet!!!
CCL: ...(totally dumbfounded...in disbelief at the audacity
the gentlemen in front of him is displaying)...
Ed: (pulling out the strap) Oh wait!! It is a
camera!!! Ha ha ha...
Needless to say, we were all pretty embarassed to be there at
that point. Luckily the play was so fantastic that all hard feelings were
subdued.
