Pathfinder Winter Retreat 2000-2001

From the 9th to the 12th of January, I went with the Pathfinder Christian Fellowship up to the awe-inspiring Big Bear Lake. It was a time to get away from it all, to start off the last semester of college right, and to get back in tune with God. Cool, huh? =] |

On the first full day we were there, we went on a hike lead by our fearless leader/guest speaker Ted Ewing. |

Happy happy are we. Especially me. Why? Well I got to touch everybody's butt during the hike...but I won't go into the details... Ha ha ha!! |

As with every winter retreat I think I've ever been on, we were all hoping for snow, but somehow it never really turned out that way. We still had a great time of course, but it would've been cool if we did get snow for once. As fate would have it, it began snowing the night we arrived there...and it snowed...and it snowed. Big Bear had not seen a snow storm like this for three years! We, of course, took full advantage of this good fortune. |

Hee hee...we almost left Ed in the snow...I didn't forget about him, but I wanted to leave him anyway!
Why you ask??
...because he dared to challenge me to an icicle battle. Muhahaha!!
We settled our differences by cooking burgers for everybody...
Luckily nobody died.
The doctors were able to save those that got sick...whew...

At the end of the retreat, we had some free time, so Ed, Hyomi, and I decided to hit the fresh powder with a sled that we found in the garage...
Note: Always wear gloves when you go play in the snow. My hands fell of from frostbite.
