September 1-8, 2002
Well the boys and I had now been
out of college for over a year, and we all felt that it was time to go
on another lake trip for a week. Sadly, Shanan and Brent were
unable to attend, which sucked, but we had to go anyway. Sorry
guys.

This year it was Lake
Powell! Here's a quick summary with nifty tidbits of information:
Formed with the construction of
the Glen Canyon Dam in 1963 on the Colorado River in Page, Arizona, Lake
Powell is the second largest man-made lake in the United States and is
187 miles long with 96 major side canyons and a coast line of
approximately 1,960 miles - more than the west coast of the U.S. from
Seattle to San Diego! The lake holds approximately 8.5 trillion
gallons of water and summertime water temperatures approach 80 degrees.
Sweeeeet...

This is what to expect at the
lake...spectacular views...and me in the middle of it all.

NERDS!!
The candy, that is....
Some of our modes of
transportation: |

A houseboat

A Boston Whaler

A couple jet skis

...and other various ways to get
around...

...while saying hi to all the imaginary
chicks hiding in the cliffs!

Collage of us jumping off the house
boat.

Jumping off one of the cliffs.
Hey I have an idea! Let's try and push that frickin'
boulder off the cliff!!

...

Okay let's just flex and look cool
instead!

|
So we took some pictures on the cliffs and headed back
down. On the way, however, I-Daddy was pointing out the
interesting geological structures: |

I-Daddy: "Hey look at how beautiful the cracks run down
the canyon!"
Farmer: "Yeah...that's really...interesting...?"
Define irony:

Lentz: "Whoa...check out THAT
crack!"

Lentz: "I think I'm going to be
sick."

"Not me! I feel great!"

AJ happy. Me not so happy.
Group pictures!

Hey what's that over there?

It's us standing in the middle of the
lake! Cool!

Me: "Dave I'm bored...let's do something fun."
Dave: "Okay. You wanna pretend we're in a
band?"
Me: "SURE!"

Dave: "Okay you be the drummer, and I can be the lead
guitar."
Me: "We should throw on some shades and be extra
cool!"

|
Well I couldn't find shades, so I wore goggles
instead. Nonetheless we are cool. And by cool, I mean
totally sweet. Now that is real ultimate power.
