During our fall break of 2000 (October 13 - 17), me and a bunch o' homeyz (and homegirl) from school decided to take a drive up to San Francisco for the weekend.  We figured it would be an excellent way to celebrate the end of midterms and all that nonsense.  So after trading my car with my dad's minivan, we packed up our stuff and were on our way!

This is us before the trip.  The second picture was supposed to be a "hard" picture, but nobody told me, so I'm the only one smiling like an idiot.

No worries!

So we were finally on the road and continued the pleasant drive through the night with no trouble along the way...

...sort of...

During a seemingly innocent stop at the gas station, Jibin's crazy frickin' Charmander (his pokemon pet), lashed out in a violent fury with no warning!  I screamed in horror as he proceeded to bite Jibin's frickin' head off while at the same time stabbing poor Rob in the frickin' throat with his spiky flamed tail!

Okay so it wasn't really that dramatic, but it was our way of having fun at 4 in the morning in the middle of nowhere, OKAY?

So we finally arrive in Berkeley, sleep at a friend's place through the morning hours, and proceed with our trip through the San Francisco area.  First stop: Union Square.

This pic was actually taken from the top of a parking structure, but the buildings in the background were too cool to pass up.  Just to get y'all acquainted with who went, that's Ed on the left, Jibin, me, Amber, and Rob.

This is all of us with Alcatraz in the background.  Cool, huh?  That's Eugene on the left...he was one of the lucky few people that go to tag along with our cool selves during the course of our stay.

If you will notice, these are two pictures where me and Amber are right next to each other; I assure you that it is the ONLY pic with her and me less than two (2) feet apart.  (To be explained later.)

Of course no trip is complete without the most important aspect: Food!

I'm not really sure where we were in this picture.  After countless hours of trying to remember, deductive reasoning, clue-hunting, and my good ol' trust sense of intelligence, I couldn't arrive at a solid conclusion.  Gary's?  Gertrude?  Jerry?

Well if I can't remember, then I suppose nobody can.

Let's take a look at what was going on inside:

Eugene: "Dude guys!  Check out the babe with the..."

Me: "Uggh...I don't feel too good...what the hell was in that dessert??"

Jibin: "I dunno, but it sho' is delicious!"

Bennett: "I am way too fine to be making faces like these morons, so I'm just gonna smile."

Amber: "Yum.  I am having fun.  This dessert plate is tasty.  I am not faking any of this."

Rob: "GET OUTTA THE WAY!!  I've only eaten 24 spoonfuls!!!"

Ed: "Heh heh heh...I won't tell these bufoon's what I spiked the dessert with..."

You guys probably didn't realize that one simple photo could have so much insight and thought-provoking details, huh?

After meeting up with Amber's high school buddy Joline (left), we needed more food, so we grabbed some sushi.  Jibin looks like he just ate a little too much wasabi.

Joline's thoughts: ("Oh my gawd...I can't believe Amber hangs out with freaks like this.  I'm just gonna stick as close as frickin' possible to Amber for the remainder of the night.")

Joline loved us.

I have dedicated an entire page to Amber because we took so many pictures together.  Why you ask?  To emphasize the totally platonic relationship that we have.  You'll see what I mean...check 'em out here.

Now for some pictures in front of the beautiful Golden Gate:

This picture is straight out of a magazine.  We are way too cool for anybody.

Well we loved the Bridge so much that we decided to drive to the other side of it and take some more pictures.  The setting was so romantic, that I decided to take some prom-date-like pictures with Rob and Jibin:

Awww...how romantic.

(Please do not send me any hate-mail regarding the abomination of homosexuality or what not.)

On the way back home, we decided that we wanted more sushi (again??), so we stopped by Todai in Glendale:

To emphasize the macho, tough-guy image that me and Ed try so desperately to hold:

Nope...we still look like drunk idiots.

Ha ha ha...
