On the 8th of April of 2000, I went on a hike to San Antonio Falls with some people from Pathfinder. Pix were taken, so I thought I'd give a little summary of what idiots do:
As you can see, it all started out pretty normal. The hike wasn't that bad at all, and here you can see me and Jon Wei sitting casually in front of the waterfall. Yes, that white stuff we are sitting on is snow. The significance of it will be explained later.... Well things started getting a little chaotic when Ed decided it would be a good idea to run through the waterfall:
This last picture is an aftermath of our experience. We were wondering why the hell we did that. The beauty of this picture, however, is that the cold brutality of the pounding water, the angle of the sun, and the camera lens made me look like I had a fabulous body. I have included a zoomed picture for your viewing pleasure. Ha ha ha...
To add to our already brutal experience, we thought it would be a good idea to slide play in the snow. Not until after we sat in the snow did we realize how cold it could possibly be to combine already cold wet bodies with ice.
Here Jon is doing an excellent job of looking like nothing affects him. Ed and I, however, were screaming like little girls.
Ed thought it would be funny to throw snow on top of us. It was not funny.
I lunged for Ed so that I might kill him, which induced a slide on the snow, and we all came a' tumblin' down. I could not walk for hours because of a frozen buttock.
Thus concludes the story of what idiots do. Although we had fun, it was pretty idiotic. =]
